In 1993 WYU held the completion & ribbon-cutting ceremony of Wu Shunde Building.
In 1996 WYU passed the evaluation of undergraduate education by the State Education Commission.
In 1998 WYU was approved to be an authorized unit to grant master degree.
In 2005 WYU held the 20th aniversary celebration.
In 2006 WYU held the unveiling ceremony for Research Base of Wuyi culture in Guangdong.
In 2007 WYU held the awarding ceremony for model base of social science in Guangdong.
In 2008 a brand new stadium was created.
In 2009 WYU held the 60th aniversary celebration.
